Water Service Restored to City of Anna

Full pressure expected by 2-3 p.m. Christmas Eve

A water main break in Anna cut off water for some residents and businesses and left others with low pressure on Christmas Eve.

The city said at about noon Saturday that the ruptured main has been repaired and that the system should be back at full pressure within a couple of hours, 2-3 p.m.

The city asks that residents only use water when absolutely necessary until full pressure is restored.

The water main break took place sometime early Friday evening.  City crews worked for about 18 hours to repair the break.

The city apologized to residents for the inconvenience while thanking the water department employees who worked for so long to restore water service to the city.
