Firefighters and water crews responded a major water main break in South Fort Worth on Saturday afternoon.
Water flooded parking lots and the interstate access road at East Felix Street at Interstate 35W around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. There were no immediate reports of injuries. The water was shut off at 6:15 p.m.
The water main break came on the seventh day in 2013 for Dallas-Fort Worth to see temperatures at or above 100 degrees. According to NBC 5 Meteorologist Remeisha Shade, Saturday was the fifth day in a row to see triple-digit temperatures.
This is the latest in several water main breaks around North Texas this summer. A major water main break near White Rock Lake turned some Dallas streets into raging rivers on July 1.
