Dallas Fire-Rescue and residents of an Oak Cliff apartment complex worked late into Sunday night cleaning up after a water main break.
Water began pouring into basement apartments at 300 East Oakenwald Street in Dallas around 8 p.m. on Sunday.
NBC DFW viewer Kayla Ruffino took cell phone video of water pouring into the basement.
Meredith May raced to save her belongings.
"There's a good couple of inches covering the entire ground," May said. "We did our best to pick up what we could. But we'll have to file a claim and I'm sure they'll be a lot to clean up."
The Dallas Water Department is investigating the cause of the water main break.
