Water Main Break Shuts Water Off to Grand Prairie School

South Grand Prairie High School will have class on Monday

Crews are working to restore water to the campus of South Grand Prairie High School after a water main break over the weekend.

As of Sunday at 9:30 p.m., the district said students should plan to report to school Monday.

GPISD director of public information Sam Buchmeyer said if water is not restored, the main South Grand Prairie High School campus could be affected on Monday. But that classes are not canceled.

Traffic may be affected in the area so the district warned on Twitter to add extra time to get to school in the morning.

Buchmeyer told NBC DFW that the ninth grade campus is not affected.
