Violent Robber Caught on Camera

Mesquite Police need your help identifying a violet robber whose crime was caught on camera.

The robbery happened just after 6 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 17 at the Carl’s Jr. in the 2100 block of North Galloway in Mesquite.

Surveillance video shows the man wearing a blue bandanna over his face and carrying a gun.

The man finds one employee and pushes her into the freezer.

He then finds the manager and uses her to open up two cash registers.

The suspect can be seen jamming the gun into the woman’s back and pointing the weapon at the back of her head.

When he’s finished taking the money, he pistol-whips the manager before shoving her into the freezer.

"He's not afraid to come in, be very aggressive, brandish that gun," said Mesquite Police Lt. Bill Hedgpeth. "In fact, he puts it to the back of one of the girl's heads, the fact he's locking them in the freezer, these are all indicators to us that the potential for violence with this suspect is very, very real."

The woman he held at gunpoint told NBC 5 she’s recovering from the blow she took to the head and that she no longer works at the restaurant.
