Christina Morris

Vigil Held for Missing Woman Christina Morris

The Plano Police Department re-posted information about the $5,000 reward on Facebook Friday morning, just one day shy of three weeks when Christina was last seen.

"If they felt fear of making a report or whatever, this gives them that option and go ahead. It doesn't have to be anything elaborate, just give us some information to lead us in a direction," said Tilley.

Investigators continue to chase down tips and leads, but so far, have not turned up anything solid.

Family members told NBC 5 that next week her picture will be featured on DART buses and at train stops.

Nearly 200 people, including family, friends and strangers gathered Thursday night, lit candles and prayed for the safe return of Christina Morris.

Morris, 23, was last seen in the early-morning hours of Aug. 30 at the Shops of Legacy shopping center in Plano.

"Man, I miss her. I miss her every day, every second. I need her," Morris' mother, Jonnie McElroy, told the crowd through tears Thursday at Allen High School.

Surveillance video from the shopping center shows Morris and a man, who has been described by family members as a friend of Morris' from high school, approaching a parking garage. Plano police have said their detectives have questioned that man, as well as several other people, and that no one has emerged as a person of interest or a suspect in Morris' disappearance.

The search for Morris has covered several square miles, and volunteers have worked on foot, horseback and ATVs.

“Clearly I don’t believe that she disappeared into thin air”, said Plano police spokesman David Tilley. “ I think that she’s with somebody and somebody knows something about her.”

Last week, the group Texas Equusearch launched an unmanned aircraft to view the area from above. None of the searches have produced clues in Morris' disappearance.

"We need everybody and anybody that knows something to please come forward, please. We beg of you," McElroy said Thursday. "There's a person out there [who knows.] There has to be. Obviously somebody knows something."
