Vehicle Slams Into Wendy's Restaurant in Dallas

No one was injured

A vehicle slammed into a northeast Dallas Wendy’s restaurant causing a fire Wednesday night.

Dallas Fire Rescue responded to a 911 call for a structure fire at the restaurant, located at 1555 North Jim Miller Road at about 7:58 p.m.

First responders say the blaze was coming from behind the restaurant.

A vehicle rammed through the back of the building and, after striking a gas line, caused the building to catch fire, Dallas Fire Rescue says.

No one was injured.

The driver of the vehicle left the scene and is presumed to be OK.

Firefighters extinguished the flames and isolated the fire damage to the drive-thru.

Atmos Energy is expected at the restaurant to shut the gas off.
