Mesquite police pursued a vehicle Wednesday afternoon along I-635.
Mesquite police say they were responding to an accident at I-30 and Big Town Rd. and saw the vehicle, a Ford Explorer, that had rolled over and ended up back on the wheels.
According to the police department, when the officer responded to that location he saw the driver "staggering around" and when the driver saw the police officer, the driver got back in his vehicle and drove away.
Officers pursued the vehicle along I-635 until the chase ended near Oates Drive and I-635.
Police officers arrested a male driver after breaking windows of the vehicle and pulling him out.
