Vandals Teeing Off on Golf Course

Vandals in "Scream" mask hit Flower Mound golf course for 16th time

Police said a masked vandals have hit a Flower Mound golf course 16 times.

Flower Mound police said they do not believe the vandalism at Bridlewood Golf Club are random acts.

"Evidently, these people might have some kind of grudge against the folks at the Bridlewood Golf Club," Capt. Kurt Labhart said.

The 16th incident occurred late Tuesday night when the two men entered a storage area and used marking tools to paint around the course.

Labhart said the two men also lined up charcoal in the shape of an "A" and lit it on fire in the parking lot. Officers said they don't know what the "A" stands for.

Investigators said the men left the burning charcoal just after a patrol officer left his post near the club.

"It appears to us they're figuring out we're there," Labhart said.

Police released still photos of the men taken from a security camera. Labhart said one of the men always wears a mask.

"One of them is wearing a mask that appears to be from the movie 'Scream,' a Scream mask or Halloween mask," he said.
