United Way to Launch OneUp Campaign

The United Way is encouraging North Texas businesses to do good in the community with their OneUp campaign.

The United Way's GroundFloor fellowship selected 14 startups that are working to improve the lives of North Texans, but they need more help to get off the ground.

United Way of Metropolitan Dallas created the OneUp campaign, comprised of videos where folks are challenging one another, and encouraging others to vote for their favorite social startup.

"We just want people to have fun with it," Metropolitan Dallas United Way CEO Jennifer Sampson said. "The more people have fun, the more people will learn about the fascinating things going on in our community by socially innovative organizations."

Vote for your favorite startup throughout October. On Nov. 1, the group with the most votes will receive $100,000.
