Uncle, Nephew Fatally Shot in Garland Home

Police have arrested a 35-year-old man after a man and his nephew were slain at a Dallas-area home.

Garland Officer Mike Hatfield says both victims were declared dead Friday at hospitals.

Hatfield identified them as 48-year-old Billy Ray White and 24-year-old Silas Dawayne White.

Police announced Friday evening that Daniel Ramirez had been arrested in the case and charged with two counts of murder. He was being held in the Garland jail. No bond was set, and no additional information was provided.

Hatfield told The Associated Press that the shootings happened at a house where the younger victim lived.

Police said an argument led to the shooting.
