Ultimate Panty Raid: Mannequin, Underwear Stolen

Condoms were not the item of choice for a burglar who broke into Condoms to Go in far North Dallas early Monday.

Dallas police report someone removed the glass from the front door at the store on the 17500 block of Coit Road but didn't steal condoms or even try to find a safe.

From the front window, the burglar took a mannequin valued at $250 and underwear valued at $50.

No word if the mannequin was wearing the $50 underwear.

Sara Lee Goff, the store's owner, said the thief didn't stop there.  The store's vice president, Gary Krupkin, received a call around 3 p.m. demanding a second mannequin all dressed in white lingerie, she said.

The caller said they would call back to make further arrangements, but wanted to give Krupkin time to have the mannequin ready. The caller said if Krupkin did not comply, he would dismember the mannequin and ship the pieces back to the store individually.

Krupkin said he doesn't want to negotiate with "terrorists" but he also doesn't want the mannequin shipped back in pieces.

No suspects have been identified in the case.
