U.S. Marshals Join Nationwide Search for CFISD Employee

A nationwide search is underway for a local school district employee accused of killing his coworker on district property.

Police said Gerardo Alvarez shot and killed his boss, Todd Fenton, inside the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District's bus barn Wednesday night.

On Thursday, the U.S. Marshals joined the search for Alvarez, whom police consider armed and dangerous.  He is still believed to be driving his beige, 1997 Mercury Cougar with Texas license plate DC5-J438.

Fenton, 48, was a 15-year employee of the district and a father of two grown children.
