The University of North Texas Police Department plans to host a training session Wednesday on how to respond in an active shooter situation.
The session, which was planned following the mass shooting Oct. 1 in Las Vegas, is set for Wednesday from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Willis Library, room 250H, on the UNT campus. It is free and open to the UNT community, and it will also be streamed on the university's YouTube channel.
The university says the training will focus on the actions and considerations individuals should take during an active shooter situation.
