A 4-year-old boy is dead after what was reported as an accidental shooting at a house on the northwest side of Tyler.
A Tyler police statement says officers were called to the house about 12:30 p.m. Sunday. By the time they arrived, the boy was already being driven to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The police statement identifies the boy as Jaylen Johnson, who turned 4 on April 4.
