The Texas Department of Transportation will close the northbound and southbound lanes of US Highway 75 in order to set beams for the new Melissa Road bridge.

The stretch of road will be closed between 9 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday.

NORTHBOUND DETOUR: Traffic will take Exit 45 to SH 121 north to SH 5 north to the Collin County Outer Loop to US 75 northbound.

SOUTHBOUND DETOUR: Traffic will exit at Melissa Road (EXIT 46), continue along the US 75 southbound frontage road through the Bloomdale Road intersection and re-enter the highway.

Local law enforcement will assist with the traffic control in several locations including the Bloomdale Road intersection to keep traffic flowing on the frontage road.

Backups are expected and motorists are encouraged to consider alternate routes. Motorists are urged to be mindful of construction personnel in the work zone.
