One Woman Dead, One Woman Injured in Grand Prairie Shooting

    Two women were hospitalized after two shootings in Grand Prairie Tuesday that left a nearby elementary school on modified lockdown just before noon.

    Grand Prairie police said officers were called to the 2000 block of Eva Street just before 11 a.m. in reference to a shooting.

    Police said two women were taken to Methodist hospital. One of the women died  at the hospital, the other woman was treated and released.

    No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting. Police said the incident started as a domestic dispute and the gunman left the area and has not been located.

    Daniels Elementary School was under modified lockdown as a precaution.
