Police investigating a shooting in Dallas believe a man shot his wife, then fled to DeSoto and shot himself.

The shooting call came in at 4:45 p.m. in the 2900 block of Midway Plaza according to Dallas Police Senior Cpl. Kevin Janse.

Janse says according to the preliminary investigation it appears a husband and wife got into an argument and the husband shot the wife.

The wife was rushed to Baylor Hospital in Dallas in serious condition, according to Janse.

Janse says the husband apparently drove to DeSoto and shot himself.

DeSoto police say he used a .22 pistol in the 1200 block of Post Oak Lane. CareFlite landed at nearby  Meadows Elementary and took the man to Baylor Hospital.

Dallas Police are working with DeSoto Police to sort through what happened after the shooting.
