Man Killed in Dallas House Fire

Woman remains in critical condition

One person was killed in a fire in North Dallas late Wednesday night.

A fire broke out at a home on the 10300-block of Mosscrest Drive sometime after 10 p.m.

Flames were shooting through the roof of the home when firefighters arrived.

Crews found a man and woman unconscious in the home. The two were taken by ambulance to Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Both were reportedly in critical condition.

The owner of the home, 79-year-old George Molhusen, died shortly after arrival at the hospital.

Fire crews said they think the fire was burning for a quite some time before anyone called 911.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

NBC 5's Amanda Guerra and Ben Russell contributed to this report.
