Two Missing Children From Kansas Found in Arlington

Two children reported missing in Kansas will soon be home thanks to the collaboration of two law enforcement agencies, according to Arlington police.

The Wichita Kansas Police Department and Missing and Exploited Children's Unit contacted Arlington police on Saturday morning with the hopes that they could help find a 9-month-old baby and a 3-year-old child reported missing and possibly with a man wanted on Kansas felony robbery warrants.

Arlington's Fugitive Team found the children unharmed with the man and a woman Saturday. The children were places in Texas Child Protective Services custody until they can be returned to Kansas.

The man and woman were arrested and are in custody in Arlington.

According to police, Keiferro Hughes is being held on a fully-extraditable felony warrant for robbery out of Kansas. Shamela Denise Austin was arrested for misdemeanor warrants out of Arlington.

As of 10:30 p.m. Saturday, both were in the Arlington City Jail.
