Two men have died after a high-speed crash on Interstate 635 in Mesquite.

Mesquite investigators said a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis was traveling southbound on I-635 at high speeds. The car veered into the HOV lane, collided with the concrete divider wall, and then traveled up the wall and crashed into a large sign on top of the wall.

Both the driver and the passenger in the vehicle died as a result of injuries suffered in the crash.

The driver was identified as 26-year-old Raymondrick Scott of Dallas. The passenger was identified as Scott's cousin, 24-year-old Cordell Scott.

The crash is still under investigation. Police said it was unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
