Two people are dead after a fiery crash near Corsicana Monday afternoon.

It happened just after 4 p.m. on southbound Interstate 45 at mile marker 233 in Corsicana.

NBC 5 viewer Landon Spencer captured video of the fiery crash scene moments after the accident.

Navarro County Sheriff Elmer Tanner told NBC 5 two people died in the crash.

From Chopper 5 it appeared there were two vehicles in the aftermath of the fire.

Traffic in the area was backed up for miles and authorities were diverting traffic at exit 2358.

Chopper 5 showed troopers turning vehicles stuck behind the accident around so that drivers could head northbound in the southbound lanes to get to the nearest exit to detour off the highway.
