2 Dead, 2 Injured After Drive-By Shooting

One man escaped the shooting unharmed

Police are searching for the gunman responsible for a drive-by shooting along Interstate 35 in Fort Worth Sunday night.

The shooting happened at Sycamore School Road just before 10 p.m.

Officers said five people were in the vehicle. Once the car exited I-35 at Sycamore School Road, another vehicle pulled up alongside and opened fire. The shots killed the driver, the front passenger and wounded two others in the back seat.

The driver of the first car lost control and slammed into a retaining wall.

The shooter drove off and remains on the run.

According to the one uninjured person in the car, the passengers left a Hooters restaurant and hadn't had any encounter or fight with anyone, so he was unsure why their vehicle was targeted.

Two of the injured passengers are expected to recover from their injuries.
