Two Dead After Shooting Near Club

Dallas homicide detectives are investigating a shooting in east Dallas that left two people dead.

The Dallas Medical Examiners' Office identified one of the victims as 47-year-old Eva Esther Garcia. The other victim was identified as 59-year-old Juan Hernandez.

The shooting occurred at Johnny's Club Vagas near the corner of Columbia Avenue and North Collett Avenue around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Dallas police released a narrative with their incident report that indicated the incident may have been a murder-suicide situation.

In the narrative, police said Garcia was found will multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body and was declared dead at the scene. Hernandez was said to have suffered a "self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head," according to the police report.
