Four people were displaced after a two-alarm fire damaged their home Thursday evening in southeast Arlington.[[292764511,L]]
The fire was reported about 5:15 p.m. in the 700 block of Greenridge Drive.
Because there was a car in the garage, emergency crews were initially worried that there were people inside the home. Fortunately, that turned out not to be the case.
Firefighters managed to knock the fire down by about 5:45 p.m.
Damage extended into the attic, and part of the roof was destroyed by the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
