Twin Boys Drown in Arlington

Brothers, age 4, died in a pool late Tuesday night

Twin brothers drowned in an Arlington pool Tuesday night, according to police.

The 4-year-old boys had already been pulled out of the in-ground pool by their father before paramedics arrived just before 10:45 p.m. in the 3200 block of Hunter Cove Drive, police said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office listed the victims as Luke and Mark Nguyen of Grand Prairie.

Paramedics performed CPR on the twins before rushing them to Medical Center of Arlington where they were pronounced dead, police said.

The father of the twins told police he was checking on his mother when the boys wandered off and into the pool area.

The pool is surrounded by an iron fence, but Arlington police said they aren't sure if the gate was secure and the boys managed to open it or if it was already unlocked.

Neighbors told NBC 5 that the family who lives at the home is very attentive toward children.

According to Tiara Ellis Richard of the Arlington Police Department, investigators believe this was an accidental drowning.
