One person is facing felony burglary charges after stealing a truck and personal items from a storage facility in Tarrant County early Monday morning.

According to the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department, officers were notified of a burglary in progress at a storage unit along the 8000-block of Old Decatur Road.

The owners of the storage unit told police that the truck and some items in storage were taken and seen leaving the facility.

Fort Worth police officers quickly spotted the vehicle and gave chase.  The pursuit didn't last long though as the driver crashed through a fence and ended up on a grassy area outside of a hotel not far from Beach Street and Northeast Loop 820.

The driver of the truck, whose name has not yet been released, was arrested and faces felony burglary and evading charges, police said.

Police have not revealed who the property belongs to.
