Two Flee After Truck Nearly Crashes Into Home

Several homes lost power after police said a vehicle nearly struck a house in Oak Cliff early Thursday morning.

Dallas Police Department officials said a truck crashed into a utility pole and a fence at a home in the 900 block of West Clarendon Drive just after 3 a.m.

The residents of the home told police that two people in the truck appeared to be intoxicated and called someone to pick them up, who arrived about five minutes later.

No injuries have been reported.

Oncor officials said 21 customers were without power as of 5:15 a.m. They hope to restore power by 6 a.m.
