Truck Crash Closes Road in Dallas

For several hours leading up to the morning rush, an 18-wheeler crash closed a North Texas highway for the second time in as many days.

A 18-wheeler carrying a load of pipes each about 40-feet in length lost it's load on the ramp from northbound Interstate 45 to westbound Interstate 30 in Dallas.

The driver struck the guardrail and the truck rolled over on to its side, spilling fuel into the roadway.

The truck's driver, who witnesses said was not speeding, was able to escape without injury.

The roadway was reopened shortly before the morning commute.

On Wednesday morning, an early-morning crash on Interstate 35E south of downtown Dallas near Colorado Boulevard closed several lanes of traffic to commuters Wednesday when a big-rig rolled over and spilled its load into the roadway.  Both the driver and passenger in that crash were OK.

NBC 5's Julie Tam contributed to this report.
