Truck Carrying Wine, Champagne Overturns

Highway 80 in Forney reopened Friday morning after a crash closed the highway overnight.

Officials said a tire on an 18-wheeler blew out and the rig overturned on the roadway at about 6 p.m. Thursday, closing the road.

The truck, which was carrying wine and champagne from California to Florida, had to be unloaded before the truck could be righted and removed from the roadway.

Crews finally managed to remove all of the cargo and the roadway was opened at about 3 a.m.

The truck's driver was talking with officials after the crash and is not believed to have suffered any serious injuries.
