Euless Trinity has scored the most points by an 11-man team in the Texas high school playoffs since 1941.

The Trojans rolled past Flower Mound 88-27 Saturday in the first round of the Class 5A Division I playoffs at Cowboys Stadium.

It was the highest total since Lancaster beat Duncanville 89-0 in the Class B playoffs 68 years ago. That's according to records compiled by the Web site HuddleUpTexas.com.

The state playoff record is 124 for Waco in a shutout of Houston Davis in 1927.

Trinity (9-2) led 55-27 at halftime against Flower Mound (6-5).

The Trojans started the season in The Associated Press Top 10 but fell out after losses to No. 1 Cedar Hill and No. 5 Allen.
