Trenton Teen's Body Found 2 Days After Deadly Crash: DPS

A Fannin County teenager who had been missing since Sunday morning was pronounced deceased Tuesday after authorities say they found wreckage from a car that crashed into a tree line.

Nicholas Capehart, 17, of Trenton, was driving south on U.S. Highway 121 in Trenton Sunday morning when he lost control of his car for unknown reasons and crashed off the east side of the road into a wooded area, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Capehart was reported missing Sunday, and the wreckage was not spotted until Tuesday morning. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The Fannin County Sheriff's Office called DPS troopers to assist in the crash investigation.
