    The woman's children escaped injury.

A Dallas woman pushed her two young children to safety as a tree came crashing down on her Thanksgiving Day.

The 44-year-old woman was feeding a neighbor's cats on Pasadena Avenue near West Shore Drive when a big, old tree next door snapped and fell.

The woman, who was pinned under the tree, was rescued by Dallas Fire and Rescue.

The woman was hospitalized and said she could not feel or move any part of her body below the waist. She also was complaining about back pain.

The tenants living in the house, from whose yard the tree fell, said they had been trying to get their landlord to remove the tree for weeks to no avail.
