Dallas police were called to the 800 block of Nomas Street in Dallas after a 2-year-old was backed over and killed by an SUV.
Police told NBCDFW the toddler's father was driving the vehicle when the little boy ran behind the vehicle.
CPR was performed on the child prior to being transfered to Children's Medical Center. Once the boy arrived at the hospital, he was pronounced dead.
Neighbors told NBC 5 that the couple has two young children.
Police said the investigation into the crash is over and that it is simply a tragic accident. No charges are expected to be filed.
