Three Killed in Arlington Accident Overnight

The victims ranged in age from 17 to 19

Three young men died this morning after a single-car accident overnight, according to Arlington Police.

Witnesses told police, just before 1:30 a.m., a BMW heading northbound in the 2400 block of W. Green Oaks Boulevard lost control, crossed through the southbound lanes of traffic and crashed into an electrical control box and pole.

When police and firefighters arrived on the scene near Arkansas Lane, the car was on fire.

Police said one victim was out of the car but three others were trapped inside, until firefighters pulled them from the wreck.

All three died from their injuries at Parkland Memorial Hospital according to Arlington police. The other young man was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner identified the victims; the driver, Jonathan Charles Lavering, 19, front passenger, Colton Gage Goodman, 18, and rear passenger, Jacob Ramos, 17.

Accident investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the deadly crash and where the victims were before the accident.
