Third Person in MercyMe Bus Crash Dies

MercyMe issued a statement Wednesday saying the families of the victims of the crash were in the band's prayers.

An 18-year-old who lost her unborn child when her car collided with the tour bus for Christian rockers MercyMe has died from her injuries.

Fort Wayne, Ind., police said Kara Klinker, who had been in critical condition since the crash early Saturday, died Tuesday.

Two passengers in her car, Dario Boutte, 19, and Barbara Schmucker, 17, died of injuries at the scene of the crash. Klinker was 35 weeks pregnant.

Greenville-based MercyMe canceled a show in Eureka, Mo., on Saturday but resumed its tour Monday at the Wisconsin State Fair. It was due to perform Wednesday night at the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis.
