Thieves in Houston Make Off With Hair Extensions

Houston police are investigating a hair heist by thieves who stole pricey extensions used for weaves.

Security video shows a pickup-truck crashing through the front door of a beauty supply store early Wednesday when the business was closed.

Several people are seen scrambling from the vehicle and grabbing packets of human hair extensions, which can sell for up to $200 apiece. Lt. Larry Crowson says the group tossed the items into the bed of the truck before fleeing.

Kevin Kim, whose family owns the business, estimates the stolen hair products are worth thousands of dollars.

Houston police say cash was also taken by the thieves, who remain at large.
