Thieves Make Off With $25K in Fireworks

Aledo Police are still looking for thieves who made off with $25,000 in fireworks.

Someone broke into storage containers at Jack's Fireworks in Aledo just a few days before the Fourth of July.

The woman who co-owns the stand says they didn't have time to replace them, so they just made do with what they had.

"I'm really sorry that people went so far as to steal from someone else because that takes fireworks away from some other people who really want to buy them," said Terri Presley, the co-owner of Jack's Fireworks.

Presley says it was her stand's biggest theft in more than 40 years.

Police don't have any leads in the case so far.
