Allen police say a thief climbed into a woman's car and took her purse while she was refueling Wednesday.
Police said it happened at a Racetrac gas station in the 800 block of West Exchange Parkway.
Security footage showed a driving pulling up next to a woman's sedan. Police say a thief crawled into an unlocked driver's-side door and grabbed a purse from the back seat.
The victim, who was refueling on the passenger-side of her car, noticed what was happening and tried to run after the suspects' vehicle before it got away.
Investigators said the suspected thieves used a late model Hyundai Sonata with dark window tint. The license plate could be out of state, or may be a Texas handicap plate.
Investigators said the incident was similar to two separate thefts this week. Anyone with information was asked to call the Street Crimes unit of Allen police at 214-509-4366.
