Any current high school juniors and seniors and transfers with eligibility were invited to Texas Wesleyan Combine at the indoor practice facility at L.D. Bell High School in Hurst from 2 to 5 p.m. Participants will be evaluated by the staff through a series of drills.

Texas Wesleyan head coach Joe Prud'homme said registration is filling up faster than expected.

"It's exciting to see the student athletes we're attracting to our program," he said in a news release. "We are looking for tough players that are ready to prove they have what it takes to be a Ram."

Registration cost $50, which includes the event, a T-shirt and shorts. Students who are already accepted to Texas Wesleyan will get a 50 percent discount on their registration fee.

Texas Wesleyan announced the return of its football program earlier this year after a 75-year hiatus. The team will play their first games in Fall 2017.
