Sex Offenders Have a Top 10 List

DPS seeks public’s help

It’s hard to imagine the state whittled down the list of most wanted sex offenders to a Top 10.

They’re all gutter-scum, not fit to live among us, and should be banished to individual atolls small enough that they’d become intimate with every blade of grass and every insect — higher life forms — the first day they arrive.

Sorry, I’m not exactly unbiased here.

Anyway, the Texas Department of Public Safety launched a new program Wednesday designed to find the Top 10 fugitive gutter-snipes as defined by a parole violation or failure to register as sex offenders. A list of the most-wanted resides online. Make that the Top 9.

The bad guys are scattered about the state, with some last-known whereabouts located in Dallas, Grand Prairie, and Rowlett, locally.

Law enforcement officials consider these guys dangerous and advise the public to just narc them out, not try to capture them. Call 800-252-8477 (TIPS), text 274637 (CRIMES) with the message “DPS” followed by the tip, or go to the DPS Web site and click on an individual’s mug shot to submit a tip.

The tip could earn you $1,000, and that would be about the best grand the state could spend.
