Texas Pilot Dies after Fiery Plane Crash

Authorities say the 70-year-old pilot of a small airplane that crashed in Kendall County has died.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the death on Wednesday but did not release the man's name. The Kendall County Sheriff's Office has identified the man as Frederick Langston of Comfort.

Officials said the plane caught fire Tuesday before crashing into a ravine on private property. Langston had been hospitalized with severe burns.

It is unclear what caused the crash. Authorities are investigating.
