Authorities said a Texas man has died in an apparent accidental shooting while hunting in southwest Arkansas.
The Miller County Sheriff's Office said 54-year-old James Druhan of Texarkana, Texas, was found dead Wednesday near his deer stand in the Sulphur River Wildlife Management Area. Sheriff's investigator Wesley Penny said Druhan was accidentally shot with a muzzleloader rifle.
Penny told the Texarkana Gazette that investigators don't suspect foul play.
The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission said friends and relatives began searching for Druhan after he didn't return from his hunting trip Tuesday. His body was discovered early Wednesday.
