Texas Gasoline Prices Up 4 Cents This Week

Retail prices have risen since the Nov. 30 OPEC oil production agreement to cut output in 2017

Retail gasoline prices in Texas are up 4 cents this week to top the $2 per gallon mark for the first time since mid-November.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the statewide average price at the pump reached $2.03 per gallon. Nationwide gasoline prices rose 3 cents to an average $2.23 per gallon.

The association survey found San Antonio has the cheapest gasoline in Texas at $1.95 per gallon. Drivers in Dallas have the state's highest gasoline price at  $2.07 per gallon.

Retail prices have risen since the Nov. 30 OPEC oil production agreement to cut output in 2017.

AAA officials predict more than 8.2 million Texans will travel during the year-end holidays — slightly more than last year. The holiday travel period begins Dec. 23 and runs through Jan. 2.
