Texas Game Warden Frees 2 Tangled Deer

A game warden came to the rescue of two Central Texas deer whose antlers were entangled in a nylon rope that was wrapped around a clothesline pole.

Officials said the warden responded to a call about two deer struggling because a rope linked them by their antlers. The rope then became wrapped around the pole.

The deer dashed away when the warden with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department used a knife to cautiously cut the rope.

The warden wore a body camera that videotaped the unusual rescue next to some cabins in Comal County. The video shows the warden driving his pickup close to the thrashing bucks.

Agency officials didn't immediately provide additional information. The video was released Monday.
