Texas Adds More People in 2010 Than Any Other State

Majority of new Texans are coming from California

Fewer Americans picked up and moved across state lines last year, but of those that did more of them moved to Texas.

In 2010, there were 75,000 new Texans in the state.  The majority of them, 33,000, came to Texas from California.

Economists said the job market has spurred a lot of people to make the move.

Officials estimate that 40 percent of the population of Texas were born out of state.
