Teen Struck by Teacher's Car in School Parking Lot

Student hospitalized with minor injuries

A 16-year-old girl suffered only minor injuries Thursday after being hit by a car in the teacher's parking lot at Haltom High School.

According to the Birdville Independent School District, the student was struck by a teacher after darting out from behind a trash bin as the teacher pulled in the parking lot at about 7:30 a.m.

The student was conscious after the incident and was transported to an area hospital.

The teacher is not expected to face any charges in connection with the incident.
