Teen Sentenced 20 Years for Manslaughter

Three other teens facing murder charges

A Dallas-area teen has been sentenced 20 years for manslaughter in connection with the fatal beating of a man who argued with kids about reckless driving.

Seth Dorris, 18, was found guilty Wednesday for his role in the death of 28-year-old Jonathan Bird, The Dallas Morning News reports.

According to police, Bird had gotten into an argument with several teens who were driving recklessly through a neighborhood.  The teens and Bird exchanged words until the situation escalated into violence.

Dorris, who was originally charged with murder, will spend 20 years behind bars.

Three other teens, all charged with murder, will go to trial in 2012.
