Construction Worker Injured in Hurst

820 at 121 was shut down during rescue

An injured construction worker was rescued from a pillar in Hurst.

Emergency crews completed a technical rescue for an injured construction worker who was situated 70 feet in the air on a pillar at Loop 820 and the SH 121 split in Hurst.

Traffic on 820 and SH 121 in the area was slowed  as medical crews are blocked the roadway in preparation of transporting the injured worker.

The injured worker was taken by medical helicopter to John Peter Smith Hospital. There was no word on his condition or his idenitity.

Chopper 5 saw a possible second victim loaded into an ambulance. More information expected soon.
