Teacher Accused of Inappropriate Relationship With a Student

A Collin County teacher has been arrested and accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a teenage student.

According to the probable cause affidavit, 30-year-old Saralyn Gayle Portwood, a special education teacher and softball coach at Princeton High School, initiated a relationship with a 17-year-old boy who is not a special education student.

In the affidavit, the teenager claims Portwood was persistent in pursuing him, touched him inappropriately, texted him via Snapchat, and sexually assaulted him in the office of her classroom.

Portwood has been suspended pending an investigation. She is free on $10,000 bond.
